Custom Gestures

The following Gestures only work if Custom Gestures are ON. (Settings > General)

They help for navigating large files. If you find them confusing, turn them OFF !

A Double Tap from the web view also open the menu above (iPod only).

Tapping More Than Twice in the upper and lower half of the screen (iPod only) will respectively increase and decrease the font size by increments of [ number of taps - 2]. The font range is { 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28 } points. Example: If the current font size is 12 fonts. Tapping 5 times in the upper-left corner will increase the font size to 20 points.

A Right Swipe-tap [iPod] or Right-Swipe [iPad] With The Right Button DISABLED (see below) will scroll the Text by slightly less than one page and briefly animate the region near the last viewed line. A Left Swipe [pfollowed by a tap for iPod] will scroll the text backwards and animate accordingly. (A slight pause can substitute for a tap at the end of the swipe for the iPod.)

A Right Swipe-tap [iPod] or Right-Swipe [iPad] With The Right Button ENABLED (see below) is equivalent to tapping the right arrow which would either open a new file or expand the search sampling to the entire file. A Left Swipe followed by a tap will display the previous reading rather than the next reading if the text is displaying a day's Mass readings. (A slight pause can substitute for a tap at the end of the swipe.)

Reversed Horizontal Swipe-tap [iPod] or Reversed Horizontal Swipe [iPad] will scroll the the text to the corresponding relative position of the swipe. This feature is very useful for navigating in large files. For example, this reversed horizontal swipe in the upper and lower red regions shown below scrolls the text to the beginning and end respectively. A Reversed Swipe between the red regions will scroll the text to the that corresponds to the vertical position of the swipe. For example, if the swipe is 40% below the upper red region (and thus 60% above the lower red region), then the text is scrolled to 40% through the document. (A slight pause can substitute for a tap at the end of the swipe.)
